"Sextremism is the new weapon of feminism"

FEMEN movement, Women Power is a controversial collective of Ukrainian activists that attracts public attention with provocative actions. Founded in 2008, FEMEN fights originally for the self-determination of women in Ukraine. Under the maxim "Our God is woman, our mission is protest, our weapons are bare breasts!" the activists are protesting topless against sex tourism, marriage agencies and political intolerance. These young women want to create an international feminist movement and also plan to be active as a political party. FEMEN shows its support for the anti-Mubarak and anti-Putin movements and call recently for the release of Pussy Riot.
